Meeting #161

Toastmasters International Armadale WA Club

Hello Fellow Toastmasters and Guests

Well, it all went well on Tuesday.

As it always does, even if we have some late drop outs, the show goes on and it’s still good.

An enjoyable meeting.

Welcome to our two guests who attended on the night.

Kristy and Kaitlyn both stood up and had a go at Table Topics, well done.

Our first Time Toastmaster for the evening Lan did a great job and kept the agenda ticking along.

Glynda – gave eight speakers a chance to speak on fashion.  Well done to Dave Finnimore, who did a sterling job evaluating everyone.

Dave Crispin: He was thrown in at the deep end to give us the inspiration and did not disappoint. His ‘World is Your Oyster’ speech based on his experience.

Carly – First time out front with her Tonic on how she was able to coerce her dad into getting a pony at a young age that has now blossomed into a passion for horses.

Speeches

Luke –  Gave his Ice Breaker speech on his the values he has learnt in his life.  Great first speech Luke, you have a future in public speaking.

Chris told us about her Scariest Childhood Memory which was going to the school dentist and how she wagged school to get away but her Mum found out and she went anyway.

Dave Crispin spoke about his naughty antics as a boy including tying his Nana up while she was asleep.  Hope you behaviour has changed Dave.

Dave Finnimore told us of his time changing out roof slate in the UK and nearly getting killed because his mate Jamie knocked him off the roof.

Well done everybody else who filled in all those other important roles that make our meetings a success.
