Meeting #160 report, next meeting draft agenda

Hello Fellow Toastmasters and guests,

Another good night of Speeches on Tuesday 5 Apr.
We had Andre Sequeira, our Area Director for S31 visit and took an active role in the evening.  Even to the point that he was asked at the last minute to give us our Inspiration, which he did with ease and spoke about his area and the clubs in positive terms.  Thank you, Andre.
Lan – gave us some topics with a theme on holidays which everyone she asked gave their question a good go.
Luke – our newest member, who hasn’t even given his first speech yet was invited to give a tonic on the spot, which he jumped into without hesitating. We learnt a bit about the engineering aspects of flow (I think).  Well done Luke for stepping up.
Glynda was passionate about books in her speech ‘Are Books Redundant’ it’s paper and pages all the way for Glynda, no e-books for her.
Colin told us about what it was like to grow up and live with a disability with his powerful speech titled ‘There is no other Option.’
Laz spoke about his recent training he attended in leadership and some of the weirder things he had to do during his course such as texting while blindfolded with his speech Learning about Leadership’.
Peter - How to Win Friends and Influence People
Peter told us of his time when he was twelve, and he and his two friends made a wrong decision to climb a mountain and head into the bush even though it was getting late in the day with his speech ‘Lost in the Bush.’
Chris did her first time as the timer and took to it like a duck to water.
